TRICARE Supplement Plans
You are eligible to enroll in the TRICARE Supplement Plan if you are under age 65, not enrolled in Medicare, and fall into one of the following categories:
To be eligible for TRICARE you must be enrolled in DEERS. DEERS is the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System. It is an automated information system designed to maintain timely and accurate information on service members and dependent who are eligible for military benefits. If you are a spouse of a 100% disabled veteran and have CHAMPVA, you and your CHAMPVA eligible children under age 18 (or age 23 if fulltime student) are eligible to enroll in our CHAMPVA Supplement Plan.

The TRICARE Supplement Plan wraps around TRICARE providing you and your eligible family members with supplemental coverage that pays after TRICARE pays. The TRICARE Supplement Plan offers economical prices which better protects you against the high cost of health care you may be responsible for each year. The supplement also affords you the ability and flexibility to seek care from any TRICARE authorized civilian provider (doctor, pharmacy, lab, ambulance service, etc.).

Selman & Company is a full service administrator performing the usual functions of an insurance company including:

The TRICARE Supplement Plans are underwritten by:

Transamerica is one of the world’s leading life insurance and pension organizations and a provider of investment products with businesses in over 20 markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
For residents of all other states, the applicant can enroll in the plan under GEA Plan - Government Employees Association.
For residents of Colorado, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Utah and West Virginia, the applicant can enroll in the plan under AMRA Plan - American Military Retirees Association.
The plan is not available in the following states/territories: Nevada, Washington, New Hampshire, Oregon, U.S. Virgin Island

It's easy to enroll in the TRICARE Supplement Plans. Just complete the required Enrollment Form — making sure to provide all information requested — and return it with your check for the first premium payment. That's all there is to it! You cannot be turned down for coverage, although a pre-existing condition may initially limit the extent of your coverage. After your completed Enrollment Form and first premium payment have been processed, you'll receive a certificate of insurance which you can examine for 30 days risk-free. Return it for a full refund if you are not completely satisfied.
